Dan Morat is a third generation retailer baker. His grandfather Frank Schramm, came to this country from Vienna, Austria in the early 1920’s settling in Illinois. Many of the recipes used by Dan today are from his grandfather’s days in Chicago area bakeries. In 1963, at the age of 24 Dan purchased his own bakery in Whitehall, MI.
