Buy farm fresh and taste the local difference!

Discover the produce of our amazing area. Depending on the season, the orchards may be filled with incredible blossoms or fruit ready for the harvesting. Much of the local produce is available at quaint roadside farm markets. Regardless of when you travel in our area during the harvest season, the farm markets will brim with fresh possibilities. In early summer, Oceana County's #1 crop is crisp and ready to take home...asparagus. Come for the National Asparagus Festival in early June. Corn, tomatoes, blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries are also available throughout the summer at local farm markets and "you pick" markets.

Our area hosts orchards of peaches, pears, apples, cherrys. There is nothing better than freshly picked fruits and vegatables.

A Taste of Oceana - What's in Season

  • May - June: Asparagus is available right out of the fields.
  • July - August: Cherries of every variety are harvested.
  • August - September: Peaches, Pears, and Plums are in season.
  • September - October: A wide variety of Apples are available.
