6th Annual “RIDE UNITED” -- JUNE 16
MUSKEGON, MICHIGAN: United Way of the Lakeshore’s sixth annual Ride United bike event will take place
June 16, 2018. DTE Energy is the original sponsor. It first brought the event to the lakeshore in 2012 to
promote and support United Way’s health programs. This year, riders will bike 6, 25, 50, and 100 mile routes
that begin and end at the corner of Third and Clay in downtown Muskegon which is also the site of the annual
Taste of Muskegon event. Century riders will head off at 8am to bike a scenic route that includes lakeshore
roads and portions of the Hart-Montague Bike Trail to Golden Park in Silver Lake before heading back to
downtown Muskegon. The 25 mile route will take riders to Pioneer Park in North Muskegon, with 50 mile riders
continuing on to the White Lake Chamber of Commerce depot.

succeed. Funds used in the past provided bikes to lower income adults and youth to get to work and school,
smoking sensation and prevention classes, promotion of healthy, active lifestyles and assisting low income
working families to meet their basic needs. “ALICE” – Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed.
