- Follow US 31 North through Holland, Grand Haven, and Muskegon to mile marker 149, the Hart/Mears exit. To Hart, turn right (east) after exiting on Polk Road. Go to the 4 way stop at State St. and Polk Rd. Go left (north) on State St. This is the downtown city limits of Hart.
- To Silver Lake and Mears, turn left (west) after exiting on Polk Road. Go 1.5 miles to the stop at 56th Ave and Polk Rd.
- Turn left (south) on 56th Ave. Go .5 miles to stop at Fox Road and 56th Ave. This is the town of Mears.
- Turn right (west) and follow Fox Rd. for 3 miles to the stop at 34th Ave (B-15) and Fox Rd.
- Turn left (south) on B-15 and follow road around curve until arriving at Silver Lake.
